  Today saw the 3rd outing of our 2026 season and the first of two scheduled Sunday outings. We travelled down the N7 to Kill and the parkland course of Killeen Golf Club. Unlike the last day out in the neighbouring K Club last month, today’s weather was at least much kinder and the rain stayed off for the full day. Although it certainly wasn’t quite shorts and t-shirt type weather just yet and the wind had a cutting chill in the air. We are blessed with the crew we have in the society and despite the course not being in overly great nick (we would be lying if we were to say anything else and we have had previous great days in Killeen where the course has been in incredible condition but), everyone was in full agreement that it was another good outing all the same. Some of our usual high scorers were not at their best today but one young up and coming star of the future certainly was. With his very first overall victory and scoring an exceptional 40 points off a handicap of just 12, it was fantastic to see the glow of happiness on the face of Oisín Manning returning to the clubhouse to give up his card. Well done Oisín, you really showed us the way today pal! The committee have checked the rest of the results and they are confirmed as follows:
