The first outing of 2025 has just been complete and today saw us travel the short journey into North County Dublin to Hollywood Lakes. It was fantastic to be back at it. Whilst the weather forecast wasn’t looking too favourable and there were stories of juvenile football games being cancelled in Rathcoole due to water-logged pitches whilst we played, everyone managed to get around the full course with feeling a drop of rain. The outing had a final number of players at 30 for this outing. As was the case for much of 2024, some favourable tee positions coupled with some truly outstanding golf saw some big scores posted again today. One player deserves a very special mention this time around though, and that’s Rambo who managed to shoot a Net 1 Under Par for his round off a handicap of just 5!!! Really incredible stuff Andrew, fair play! The committee have checked the results and they are confirmed as follows:
- OVERALL WINNER: Andrew Harte
- Category 1 Winner: Barry Daly
- Category 1 Runner Up: Ian Mc Gowan
- Category 2 Winner: Philipe Thirroueiz (on a count back
- Category 2 Runner Up: Derek Upton (on a count back)
- Nearest the pin FRONT 9: Stephen Byrne
- Nearest the pin BACK 9: Philipe Thirroueiz
- Congrats also to Stephen Byrne, Philipe Thirroueiz and Ray Fagan for grabbing 2s
